Starting from April 1st, the charging stations in the highway service area under the jurisdiction of State Grid Shandong Electric Power Company have fully achieved 100% green power supply throughout the entire period, providing strong practical exploration for new energy vehicles to participate in green power trading through the electricity market. At present, State Grid Shandong Electric Power has established 322 charging stations in highway service areas throughout the province, providing charging services for a total of 1686 new energy vehicles. These charging facilities are operated by State Grid (Shandong) Electric Vehicle Service Co., Ltd.

"In the past, the highway charging stations operated by State Grid of China obtained electricity through power grid agency, which made it difficult to achieve 100% green power supply throughout the entire period. To solve this problem, we established a dedicated working group in the second half of 2023 to conduct in-depth research on relevant policies and price calculations. Our goal is to ensure that" new energy vehicles charge new energy electricity "without increasing the charging cost for new energy vehicle owners." Chen Chao, Deputy Director of the Development Department of State Grid (Shandong) Electric Vehicle Service Co., Ltd., provided a detailed explanation.

In order to achieve this goal, State Grid (Shandong) Electric Vehicle Service Co., Ltd. selected 10 highway charging stations as pilot projects, analyzed the load curve and self adjustment ability of the charging stations in detail, and designed a reasonable electricity trading plan based on the operating rules of the electricity market. In March of this year, State Grid Shandong Electric Power and State Power Investment Group Shandong Electric Power Co., Ltd. reached a long-term cooperation intention for green electricity and green certificate trading, and efficiently completed the registration work for the highway charging station we operate. Starting from April 1st, we have achieved 100% green power supply for all hours of the highway charging station.
